Introduction to the Position
Job Summary
- As our Tech Advisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing all technical aspects related to the supply, installation, and commissioning of Wellhead and Christmas Tree systems. This role acts as the primary technical interface between clients, OEMs, and internal wellhead service teams, ensuring project requirements are met to the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate OEM engineering drawings, specifications, material certificates, and FAT procedures
- Coordinate and oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with OEMs and third-party inspectors
- Develop and review installation procedures, running procedures, contingency plans, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all equipment and operations comply with API 6A, API 17D, NACE MR0175, ISO, and project-specific standards.
- Provide technical advisory support to clients during tendering, pre-qualification, and project execution phases.
- Conduct technical training and mentoring for internal service personnel to build organizational capacity.
- Validate field service reports, installation records, and documentation required for project closeout.

Experience and credentials:
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in wellhead systems, Xmas trees, and surface equipment.
- Strong understanding of API 6A, API 16A, API 17D, and NACE MR0175 standards.
- Direct experience supervising wellhead installation and FAT/SIT testing at OEM workshops.
- Experience working with international OEMs (e.g., Cameron, FMC, Aker, VetcoGray etc).
