Introduction to the Position
Purpose of Role
- To ferment and mature all AOP Beer volumes and ensure continuous supply of high-quality Beers and good team spirit.
- The role holder ensures adequate coverage of the shift, showing absolute support for colleagues as well as good team spirit.
Top Accountabilities:
- Oversees mashing and filtration of brew and ensures set target for brewing is achieved
- Responsible for key activities such as In-taking of grains from silo, Strike-out from Copper to W/P (Whirl Pool) and Chilling of wort from W/P to FV (Fermenting Vessel) and Collection of Ex-chiller samples to laboratory
- Positioning of oxygen cylinders/proper oxygenation of Stout wort following chilling
- Monitor all process work in Brew House and documentation of activities keeping adequate process records
- Plans for maintenance for weekly Business Continuity Maintenance
- Training of operators in the process in the Brew house

Experience and credentials:
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Ordinary National Diploma (ND) or Technical College Certificates or recognized equivalent in any of Biological/Chemical Science/Biochemistry/Food science
- 3- 5 years’ relevant experience in similar role in a Brewery or Bottling Industry
- Demonstrate detailed understanding of Permit to Work system and Safety Health Environment policies, statutory requirements and responsibilities.
- High level of energy and commitment to team-based achievement and high interpersonal effectiveness to develop & sustain robust relationships.
