Introduction to the Position
The ideal candidate should read the following carefully before applying:
- Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project
- Produce/monitor project from inception to completion.
- Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.
- Assist with the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
- Carryout site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
- Carry out inspection and/or structural assessment of existing structures.
- Carryout engineering design and assessment of new and existing structures.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Prepare bills of quantity.
- Prepares detailed dimensional drawings for civil/structural project.
- Report technical issues on site to unit head
- Interpretation and application of Nexant policies and procedures to the construction activities.
- Ensure quality of work done is consistent with Nexant values.
- Ensure contractors meet agreed deadlines.
- Produce and contribute to project reports.
- Have understanding and good working knowledge of project plan.
- Actively involved in bringing new opportunities to the company.
- Performing all quality functions relating to the role in accordance with the organization’s QMS
