Introduction to the Position
The candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment at utility equipment, such as steam boilers, generators, air compressors, power distribution equipment, water treatment plants, effluent treatment plants, etc., to ensure quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manages Utility equipment like steam boilers, generators, air compressors, power distribution equipment, water treatment plant, effluent treatment plant etc. to ensure quality service delivery
- Carry out equipment monitoring as per checklist, document findings and recommend actions to be taken.
- Write equipment shift operation
- Maintain and give reports on spare parts inventory and ensure their availability to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain all utility equipment, ensuring availability and reliability, minimizing down time.
- Carry out equipment monitoring as per checklist, document findings and recommend actions to be taken. Write equipment shift operation report.
- Lubricate equipment as specified in the lubrication chart and documentation. Clean and wash all stains on equipment after lubrication
- Ensure compliance to good manufacturing practice, food safety practice, good environmental management system, and occupational Health and Safety practices in all line activities.
- Develop and enforce safety procedures, conduct regular safety audits, and provide training to plant personnel.
- Ensure the implementation of various infrastructure or process optimization projects.
- Ensures optimal spare parts and maintenance materials inventory management
- Evaluates effectiveness of corrective actions using all available data
- Maintains effective systems to ensure SBC/PI products and package

Experience and credentials:
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified candidates must have the following Qualifications before applying for the graduate job offer at 7up Bottling Company
- A minimum of Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- · Minimum of 3– 5 years relevant hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience
- Experienced in budgeting and people management
- Knowledge of bottling operations: Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Environment, Engineering, Health and Safety
- Operational planning expertise/experience
- Understanding of financial impact of decisions
- Coaching direct reports and mentoring others
- Ability to translate functional strategy into unit/section’s plan
- Ability to lead and manage change, setting standards for managing performance.
