Introduction to the Position
Job Summary
- We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Growth to lead the strategic expansion of their brand across Africa.
- This individual will be responsible for driving product-market fit, achieving sales velocity, building partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading cross-functional teams in execution.
- This is a senior leadership role for someone who is passionate about education, deeply familiar with African school systems, and thrives in fast-growth, mission-driven environments.
Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Strategy:
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for the client across key African markets without supervision.
- Identify, prioritize, and enter high-potential regions, partnering with local associations, school owners, governments, and education stakeholders.
- Build and lead a growth team focused on demand generation, customer acquisition, and retention.
Sales & Revenue:
- Own the sales pipeline and close strategic deals with large school groups, public institutions, and private education networks.
- Develop and manage reseller / vendor channels across multiple countries.
- Set and meet aggressive monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Navigate and manage compliance with educational regulatory bodies in major African countries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing, curriculum regulations, and digital safety requirements for schools.
- Build strategic relationships with government agencies, accreditation bodies, and education ministries.
Product-Market Fit & Feedback Loop:
- Work closely with product teams to ensure the platform evolves in line with market needs.
- Champion user feedback from school administrators, teachers, and parents to inform future feature development.
- Shape the product roadmap to deliver maximum value to African schools.
Leadership & Culture:
- Recruit and lead cross-functional teams across marketing, partnerships, customer success, and operations.
- Inspire a performance-driven, impact-oriented company culture.
- Represent the client at conferences, summits, and stakeholder meetings.

Experience and credentials:
Job Requirements
- 10+ years experience in senior roles within EdTech, SaaS, or education-related startups, ideally as a Head of Growth, Country Manager, or CEO.
- Experience launching or scaling a CRM, LMS, or ERP product in emerging markets.
- Proven track record of scaling EdTech or school-based products in at least 2 African countries.
- Deep understanding of the operational and purchasing behaviors of primary and secondary schools.
- Experience working with government institutions, education boards, and accreditation agencies in Africa.
- Familiarity with local education policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong network across African education systems—schools, vendors, influencers, and policymakers.
- Background in education or working directly with school communities is a plus.
- Ability to speak French, Swahili, Arabic, or other widely spoken African languages is a plus.
Salary
N800,000 – N1,000,000 Monthly.
